Refund policy

Returns, cancellations and refunds
We want you to be happy with your Dad’s Cabin order. This policy explains change-of-mind cancellations and
your rights if something is wrong. It applies to consumer online purchases. Nothing here limits your statutory
rights.
1. Changing your mind about a standard product
For most non-personalised goods bought online, you may cancel from the time you place the order until 14 days
after the day you or your nominated recipient receive the goods. Where several goods in one order are
delivered separately, the period runs from the day after the last item is received.
Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel by emailing info@dadscabin.co.uk or writing to Duncan Baxter trading as
Dad’s Cabin, Ty Gwyn, Highfield Park, Abergele, Conwy, LL22 7AU, United Kingdom. Include your name, order
number and the items concerned if possible. You may use the optional form below, but any clear cancellation
statement is sufficient.
You must send the goods back within 14 days after telling us you are cancelling. Contact us for the correct
return address and practical instructions. You do not need our approval for a valid statutory cancellation, and
requesting instructions does not extend your deadlines.
2. Personalised and bespoke products
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to products made to your individual
specifications or clearly personalised, such as an item printed with your own name, photograph or bespoke
wording. This exception can apply from the time the contract is made, not only after production starts.
If you want to change or cancel a personalised order, contact us immediately. We will try to help, but cannot
promise a change-of-mind cancellation or alteration. A standard catalogue design printed to order is not
automatically personalised and normally retains the usual cancellation rights.
This exception does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or does not match the
personalisation agreed with us.
3. Handling and return postage
You may inspect goods as you reasonably would in a shop. Please handle them carefully and use suitable
protective packaging for a return. Keeping the original packaging is helpful, but it is not an absolute condition of
your statutory cancellation rights.
For a change-of-mind return, you pay the direct cost of sending the goods back. We do not charge a restocking
fee. Keep proof of posting; a tracked service can help you demonstrate that the goods were sent.
We may deduct an amount for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish
the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning, where legally permitted. We will explain any proposed
deduction.
4. Refunds following cancellation
We will refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or you
provide evidence of sending them back, whichever is earlier. If no goods have been supplied, we will refund
within 14 days after you tell us you are cancelling.

If you cancel your whole eligible order, we also refund the standard outbound delivery charge you paid. If you
selected a more expensive delivery option, we refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.
For a partial cancellation, we will explain any delivery-charge adjustment in line with your legal rights and the
part of the order retained.
Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, and we do not charge a
refund fee. Your payment provider may take additional time to display a refund after it has been issued.
5. Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed items
Contact us as soon as you reasonably can with your order number and details. Photographs of the item and
packaging are helpful where available, but are not an absolute requirement. You can use a receipt, order
confirmation or other suitable proof of purchase.
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they do not meet these requirements,
you normally have a short-term right to reject them for a refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you may be
entitled to a repair or replacement, and in appropriate circumstances a price reduction or refund. Your rights can
continue beyond 30 days.
Where we are responsible for a fault, damage or other breach of your rights, we pay the necessary reasonable
return costs. Contact us so we can arrange a suitable return or collection. Do not pay for an unusually
expensive return service without discussing it with us first.
Where you are entitled to a refund under the Consumer Rights Act, we will provide it without undue delay and
within 14 days after agreeing that you are entitled to it. These rights also apply to personalised products and
sale items.
We are not responsible for an error in the personalisation details you supplied if we accurately followed the
agreed instructions, but we will try to help. This does not excuse an error made by us or remove your other legal
rights.
6. Sale items and gift cards
Sale items have the same statutory cancellation and faulty-goods rights as full-price items, subject to the same
lawful exceptions for personalised products.
Unused gift cards bought online may be cancelled within 14 days after the day they are received. Email us
before redeeming the card. We will deactivate a cancelled card and refund within 14 days of your cancellation
notice. If a card has already been used in whole or part, contact us so we can assess the circumstances and
your legal rights. This policy does not exclude statutory remedies.
7. Exchanges and orders bought in person
For a standard online item, the simplest exchange is usually to return it under this policy and place a separate
order. Contact us if you need help.
Purchases made in person at our usual market or event stall do not generally have the same statutory
change-of-mind cancellation right as online purchases. Your rights for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods
still apply. Any additional return promise made at the time of purchase will be honoured.
